The Signal in the Static: Welcome to Mr. Wizard

I’ve always been someone who looks for the "how" behind the "what." Whether I’m diagnosing a network failure, fine-tuning an engine, or sitting with a Tarot deck, I am driven by the same fundamental curiosity: Why does this work, and how can we make it work better?

This blog is the latest iteration of that curiosity.

Why I’m Here For a long time, my work has been defined by the services I provide—the "Mr. Wizard" toolkit, if you will. But there is a limit to how much of my philosophy can fit into a service quote or a technical diagnostic. I wanted a space where I could pull back the curtain, share the rough drafts of my creative work, and explore the friction between our physical tools and our internal lives.

What to Expect Starting today, I’m committing to a consistent space for inquiry. You can expect:

• Reflections on the Craft: Deep dives into the intersection of technology, writing, and the creative process.

• Rough Edges: I’ll be sharing poetry, fragments, and ideas that are still in development—the stuff that doesn’t always make it into the final product.

• The Unscripted: Honest observations on life, impermanence, and the search for meaning in a noisy world.

The Logistics My goal is to post at least once a week. As I am still refining the mechanics of this site, things might be a little fluid for the first few weeks. Thank you for your patience while I get the engine running smoothly.

A Special Preview I am also incredibly excited to share that I have a memoir in the works. It’s a project that has been very close to my heart, and over the coming months, I’ll be using this space to pull back the curtain on its development. Stay tuned for an upcoming post where I’ll share a glimpse into the prologue and the themes that are shaping the manuscript.

Whether you’ve known me for years or you’ve just stumbled onto this domain today, I am glad you’re here. This is an invitation to slow down, look at the mechanics of things, and find a bit of signal in the static.
